Our First Valentine's Day

Our first Valentine's Day together was really special. Part of it because we just got married and the other part is just because we're so in love (but they kinda go hand-in-hand)! I unfortunately had work from 8-1:30 and then Steve had classes and his internship and classes until 3, so it all worked out. After Steve's internship he surprised me with flowers and then we set aside the rest of the night to just enjoy it and relax. What we had planned was for Steve to make a nice homemade dinner, I make some homemade cheesecake, and we watch a movie afterwards. Things didn't really go according to plan because Steve had lots of homework to do and I didn't have anything to do so I just ended up making dinner and cheesecake, which was ok. We had a nice, romantic candle-lit dinner with steak, mashed potatoes, broccoli, and Martinelli's! It was soo good. After dinner we ended only watching part of a movie, again because Steve had so much homework to do. Even though Steve had a lot of homework, it was still fun to enjoy a little time together.

Steve also surprised me with a canvas with one of our wedding pictures on it. I've been mentioning that I wanted one to add to our house after our wedding but they are kind of expensive. When I was checking our bank account a few days before Valentine's Day I noticed a charge that didn't look familiar so I asked Steve about it and he kind of just ignored it and so after questioning him I assumed it was a canvas he bought for me but it was supposed to be a surprise. The only way I knew was because the charge was from canvas4life.com. Steve can never keep a secret from me even if I'm not even trying to look for something haha :) We ended up just getting the canvas today because of shipping issues, but I love it!
