We celebrated by going to Mocking Jay Part 2 and then went to the Melting Pot afterwards. We had a lot of fun and our friends watched Logan for us!

Christmas Break in Washington - Part 2

December 27th:
My sister and I started off the day by driving to Tacoma to the mall to buy some cheap jeans that were on sale.
We then headed over to Auburn to meet everyone for lunch at this Russian Deli. I've never tried Russian food before so it was all new to me (I didn't take any pictures, sadly).
After eating lunch we drove over to my brothers place in Maple Valley to meet everyone to go swimming at my sister-in-laws Aunts house.

Logan's 1st time swimming

He was only in the pool for 10 minutes, but had a lot of fun!

Traci and Jared
 Ryan and Vince
 Paige
 Everyone swimming

After Logan was done swimming, my mom offered to hold Logan so I could keep swimming.
Courtney and her boys, Axel and Bentley
My sister, Jenna

Paige's aunts pool was sooo nice! It was nice to be able to swim and go in a hot tub. The last time I was able to go in a hot tub was before I got pregnant with Logan.

December 28th (Steve and I's 3rd Year Wedding Anniversary)
We woke up bright and early and got ready for 9 am church in Maple Valley at my brothers ward. Jake who was born at the end of September was having his baby blessing that day. There was a lot of family there from both sides and it was really nice.
After church we went over to Ryan's house and had lunch and played Phase 10 with everybody. It was so nice to have everybody together for the past few days.
Later that afternoon we headed out and drove up to Steve's parents house. This trip we planned on spending 1/2 of the time with my family and 1/2 of the time with Steve's family. It was pretty crazy at times, especially when we wanted to be with both families at the same time and not missing out on different things. It all worked out though and everyone got their time.

December 29th
This day was pretty low-key and we just hung around the Boyd's house. It was nice to relax a little bit after the past few crazy days.
My parents and 3 younger siblings were invited over for dinner later that day. It was nice to see them again. After dinner a bunch of us went outside to play hide and seek, just like little kids, and it was actually pretty fun. As I was walking in the house I started to get really dizzy and couldn't walk straight. I wasn't really sure what was going on so I laid down and just took it easy. The dizziness seemed to stop when I would lay still, but once I picked my head up or stood up I would be dizzy again. I also felt really sick to my stomach. It was really weird because it all came so sudden and out of nowhere. My mom and mother-in-law think that since I had been running around in the cold and since I haven't done much physical activity since having Logan it made me feel this way. I took the rest of the night off and tried to relax and take it easy downstairs. Steve was such a great support and stayed by my side just when I needed him. I ended up throwing up, but still didn't feel 100% better. I asked for a blessing and felt somewhat better a short while after. I'm really glad Logan is an easy going baby because I wouldn't have been able to take care of him in the state I was in. I'm also really grateful for Steve and the big help that he was to me. While everyone was having a gingerbread making contest upstairs I was downstairs sick with something that came out of nowhere. My brother Evan and sister Jenna decided to spend the night, while my parents and brother Landon drove back down to my brothers place in Maple Valley for the night.

December 30th
Steve, his dad, his 2 brothers, and my brother Evan went skiing/snowboarding up at Steven's Pass this day. I still wasn't feeling 100% myself yet so I took the day to relax while my sister, Dakota, and Stephanie went shopping. After taking a nap and taking some medicine I was feeling a little bit better. Later that night all of the temple recommend holders went to the temple. Lonnie's (father-in-law) parents passed away a while ago and they were to be sealed together and then Lonnie was sealed to his parents and his sister, who has also passed away. They all did an endowment session and then the sealing. I was only able to make it to the sealing because Logan's sitter ended up getting sick, but it was such a neat experience. My parents and my brother Ryan and his wife were also able to make it to everything. It was really nice to have both sides in the sealing room.

December 31st - New Years Eve
This day we mostly just prepped for the big night. We made some yummy food, relaxed, and played Wii! Later that night is when all the craziness happened.....Logan's 1st night in the ER....you can read about it here.

January 1st -
We headed over to the White's (Steve's second family basically) in the late afternoon and said hi.....Logan of course had to flirt with little Avery.

Steve and I's 3rd Year Anniversary was on Sunday and since we were busy with my family all last week we decided to go on our date night this night. Brenda, my mother-in-law watched Logan for us and we went out for a couple of hours. We decided to go mini golfing over in Edmonds and got some hot cocoa/caramel apple spice drinks at Starbucks afterwards. It was a short date, but I'm glad we got to go spend a little bit of time alone as a couple. Can't believe it's already been 3 years.

January 2nd -
We relaxed most of the day and then headed over to Steve's brothers house (Craig) for dinner. We had some good and messy BBQ Ribs and they were sooo good!! Craig and Cerissa recently just bought a house in Lake Stevens and it is really cute! Logan and Addie were able to play a little bit together while we were visiting. They are so fun when they are together....always pulling on each others clothes, sucking on toes/fingers, rolling over by each other, etc.

January 3rd -
We started the day out by going over to Steve's moms apartment in Woodinville. Steve's mom and her husband Mark made us a really good lunch and we chatted for a little bit. Logan was sick at the time and not in the best mood so we had to end things short, but it was still a really nice visit. Diana made Steve and I blankets. Mine is purple and Steve's is Seahawks colors!

After visiting with Steve's mom and step-dad we had Logan take a little nap and eat and then we drove up to Lake Stevens to go to Steve's sisters Open House. Their new house is GORGEOUS!!!! We stayed for a little bit and then went home.

January 4th-
We were planning on leaving to head back to Oregon after church, but we heard the weather wasn't supposed to be very good in the mountains. After looking at radars, we decided to go home right then (it was midnight) and hopefully miss the storm. Snoqualmie Pass ended up not being too bad, but there was snow the rest of the drive and the roads weren't the best. We hit some really bad freezing rain near Pendleton, OR (we were literally going 20 mph) and decided to get off an exit and sleep for a few hours until the sun was up. The rest of the drive from Pendleton to Ontario was ok and we made it home safely.

Overall our trip to Washington for Christmas was very fun! I'm not sure the next time we'll be up there, but I'm looking forward to it.

3 Week Vacation--Part 2: San Francisco

This past year has gone by so fast! I can't believe it has already been 1 year! Love you Steven Boyd! We have done so much over the year including: our honeymoon, many trips to Washington/Utah, random trips to Idaho Falls/Yellowstone/Lava Hot Springs, camping/hiking/fishing/swimming, and the list goes on and on....As I am looking back at what we were like 1 year ago we really have grown so much closer to one another and love each other so much. Steve is really a wonderful husband and treats me so well. He will surprise me with flowers, do the dishes, help around the house, etc. I am so grateful we were put together by a friend and everything worked out. I really don't know what I would do without him whether it is with homework, driving steep hills in San Francisco :), cooking, budgeting, he really is the best. I am so glad we made the decision to get sealed for time and all eternity because I want to spend eternity with him. Here are some pictures of us from the past year :)

These are just a few but still so many things! Can't wait to see what we do this coming year!

For our 1st Wedding Anniversary Steve and I decided it would be fun to go to San Francisco because we have never been there before (I went when I was really little but don't remember). It just worked out to have Christmas in Southern California because Steve's step siblings would be at their step dads for Christmas and we wouldn't see them til later.

I love to travel and I really want to go to a new place I've never been every Anniversary. Obviously this year is San Francisco for our 1 year and for our 2 year I want to go on a cruise to the Caribbean. I've never been on a cruise and I've heard so many good things about them. Steve has been on a cruise once to the Caribbean years ago.

Anyways this is what we did on our Anniversary :) Love this city!!
Sorry for the formatting of the pictures again...someday I will figure this out :)

Loved all of these views! There were so many view points and they were all breath taking. It seemed like we were in a different country at some points it was so beautiful! We just kept stopping at all the viewpoints going further and further up on the other side of the bridge and eventually reached the highest point :)

We ended up walking across the Golden Gate Bridge and back and it was a lot of fun. It ended up being 1 1/2 miles each way roughly! So it surprised us when we found out we walked 3 miles! It was a little windy and cold but worth the experience. At times we saw dolphins jumping in the water in the distance and also Tour Boats crossing under the bridge. It is a long way down if you fall!

Steve and I wanted to eat at a nicer place for our Anniversary so we chose to go to a place called Fog Harbor Fish House :) It was on Pier 39 which was right by Fisherman's Wharf and it was really good. I got really full from the start and ended up having to take home most of my food. I got the Clam Chowder Bowl and Steve got the Garlic Roasted Dungeness Crab! He had so much fun eating it :)

Left: Steve's crab :) It was soo good!

Right: Our waiter gave us a free dessert since it was our Anniversary! We got the Blondie with Ice Cream :)

Left: Steve got me these earrings as a small gift! I told him we weren't doing gifts because our trip was a gift in and of itself..but he said since I lost my other earrings he'd replace them.

Right: He wouldn't let the day end without getting me flowers :) What a sweetie!

Day 2: San Francisco--
Steve and I started out our day by doing sealings in the Oakland Temple :) So beautiful

This is the temple I wanted to get married in since I was young but too bad I live on the other side of the U.S.

We then toured San Francisco more!

Ghiradelli Square :) Even though I don't like chocolate their Peppermint Bark was good :)
This guy spray painted this picture it was so cool!! It was the San Francisco skyline and then the Earth!

Love Boudin's!! Best sourdough bread!
Of course I got the bread bowl with clam chowder :)

Love these different animal shapes they made out of the bread!

Steve and I bought Alcatraz tickets back in August! They sell out really fast and we thought it would be fun to go. It was so much fun! If you don't know what Alcatraz is, look it up :) Here is a picture of the Alcatraz Island!

Sunset on San Francisco skyline :)

The cells where the prisoners  lived

Alcatraz night tour :)

Our cruise ship to the right!
After our Alcatraz tour we went to Outback Steakhouse! Steve loves Coconut Shrimp!

Next stop: Seattle to see Steve's family for 1 week
