6 Months Being Married

So on Thursday the 28th, Steve and I celebrated our 6 month Anniversary. It may sound funny that were celebrating on our 1/2 year anniversary, but we're just starting out and it's exciting. We celebrated by going out to eat at Outback Steakhouse and just embracing what we've learned since we have been married.

Some things that I have learned being married:
- The toilet seat being left open and the shower curtain being left open aren't a big deal.
- You don't always have time to be a perfect wife (don't always have time to cook, clean, etc.)
- Spend your money wisely (I learned this before, but especially need to exercise this now)
- You really do get better grades in school (I think it's just the fact that you don't want to spend as much time studying when your dating/engaged so your grades slip/lose focus)
These are just a few of the things I have learned!

Things I Love About Married Life:
- Not dating (seriously it's the best feeling in the world to know you are married to your eternal companion)
- You only have to worry about cleaning up you and your spouses things (no more roommate dishes, clothes everywhere, etc.)
- I just love being with Steve everyday and not having to do long-distance again!
- Have a little bit more money to spend on groceries so I can cook healthy meals!
- Going to the temple with my eternal companion!
These are just a few of the things I love!

Overall, I love married life and all of the perks that come with it. Yes, there are struggles at times but they work out in the long run.

Honeymoon in Florida :)

I'm still not caught up on my blog, but hey I'm getting there. Our honeymoon was so much fun! We had PERFECT weather and it couldn't have been better. We left for Florida the day after our wedding and let's just say it was a VERY LONG flight but was new scenery because I've never flown to the Southeast before! We arrived in Orlando, Florida at 9pm and picked up our rental car. Our rental car ended up being really expensive but it was nice to have our own car instead of paying for taxi's and such. We then we headed to hotel in Kissimmee that we were staying at for just a night since we couldn't move into our resort hotel til the next day (Friday). The hotel was so sketchy though. Steve looked on hotels.com for really good deals a couple months before the wedding.....he booked a 1 King Bed room and it ended up being a good deal. When Steve went to check in the hotel guy checked us in and said that we had to upgrade to a family suite for no extra cost. So we're like this should be too bad right....when we got up to the room, the room ended up having 1 King bed and a closed off section in the room that had 2 bunkbeds and 1 regular twin bed and on the wall it said "No Parents, Kids Only"....haha really!!!! It was nice that we only had to look at that for one night because that is all we could have handled.

Friday was a good day for us....we relaxed a little bit, got some groceries, and then moved into our resort. Our resort was soooo nice!!!! That's kind of an understatement, but we loved it. My favorite part of the resort would have to be how spacious everything was. It was like a mini apartment and it had everything. We loved it! Steve's parents actually used points of theirs to pay for our resort and flights!! It was soo nice and without that we probably wouldn't have been able to do much in Florida.

(This is our resort!!! We loved it!)

Saturday we got up kind of early and went to SeaWorld! Our tickets we're only $60 a piece and parking wasn't bad. I've never been to SeaWorld before, but we both agreed that was our favorite park out of the ones we went to! I've always loved dolphins and even as a little kid I wanted to be a marine biologist. There was so much to keep us busy there and we loved it. We got to see pretty much every water animal including: sharks, dolphins, seals, otters, whales, penguins, turtles, sting rays, fish, etc. We went to all the shows and they we're so fun. And of course the dolphin show was my favorite...Steve's was probably the otter/walrus one :) With Saturday being New Year's Eve we left the park a little, early jumped in the pool and hot tub at our resort and made some snacks and food and watched the ball drop as a newlywed couple!

(Steve and I are at some of the shows at SeaWorld and some of the stingrays and dolphins)
Sunday we took things a little easy and we went to Cocoa Beach and relaxed. It was about 1 1/2 hours to get to the beach but it was a nice drive. Again, I've never been to Florida before so that's one of the reasons we chose to go and also because of the warm weather. Steve on the other hand has been to Florida before, but it was a while ago. We stayed at the beach for a few hours, got a nice tan, and then headed back to the resort.
(Steve and I at Cocoa Beach in Florida! It was such a nice day)

Monday our plan was to go to DisneyWorld. We both have never been so we thought it would be a fun experience, but we didn't end up getting into the park until 1pm!!! We bought some tickets from those sketch ticket booths that sell tickets for really cheap. The tickets we're only $60/ticket and parking was $15. By the time we got up to scan our tickets, our tickets didn't work. The guys back at the ticket place told us to tell the ticket people at DisneyWorld if we had any problems to tell them we got them from England because that is the only place where you can get 14 day Disney tickets. Sketchy again!!! So we had to think a little bit of what we were going to do....we tried to call the number the guy from the ticket place gave us..but the phone was off. We left the park and thank goodness you could come and leave the park as you please, so we could always come back. We went back to the ticket booth and asked for our money back because they didn't work. They gave us a full refund and even money to pay for our parking (BIG RELIEF). When they sold us the tickets they said they would give a full refund so we were happy they held to their words. We ended up going down the road to WalMart and bought tickets there and they we're direct cheaper tickets from Disney so we knew there wouldn't any problems. They we're a little more expensive about $75/ticket but it was nice to get in on the first try with no problems. Overall we liked DisneyWorld, but let's just say it was more fun as a kid. We liked some of the rides and such but again, it's more for kids I'd say. It was fun and I can say I've been there now, but I probably won't go back unless we have kids with us or something. We left the park a little early again and went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner and it was soo good! When our waitress found out that we were on our honeymoon she gave us raspberry cheesecake on her....eventhough we told her that we were too full...haha :) It was soo good though.

(At DisneyWorld)
Tuesday was very cold for Florida weather. It was like 45 degrees, but it was the day we were heading back to Idaho so it wasn't that big of a deal. Our flight was again very long but we made it back to SLC and picked up car at Steve's grandma's house. Fay was so nice and let us take some food for the road and was just so hospitable. We then headed back to Rexburg and got to see the inside of our apartment for the first time! It was a lot smaller than we thought, but it was cute. We didn't even want to think about unpacking that night because we we're soo tired.
Our honeymoon was soo much fun and it will be something that we will remember for the rest of our lives. We will look back at and look at all the good times we had.

Wedding: This and That

It has been forever since I have done a new blog post, but now that I have so much to share it'll be nice to let it out. Our wedding was everything we could have dreamed of, we had our family there (most of them anyway), the weather was perfect, everything went as planned, and we had a great photographer.

After the sealing we got all our pictures done and Angela (our photographer) was so great! I would highly recommend her andelinphoto.blogspot.com!! She was just so fun and she took amazing pictures of our day. Here are just a few more:

Our grooms dinner and reception had a great turnout and we enjoyed it very much. I'm so glad that most of my family could make it to the wedding, including my brother Jordan finding a last minute flight to come to the sealing. Also my cousins (The Heisingers), from California coming out and surprising me at temple square the night before our wedding.

(Here are all my siblings to the left and my cousins from California to the right)

Our wedding was everything we could have ever dreamed of and I'm so grateful for everyone that made our day a memorable one.
