Well this has taken longer than I thought to get up...first week of school is busy!
For the last week of vacation Steve and I made the drive up to Snohomish, WA where he is from. For the most part we relaxed and had such a fun time with his family :)
Here are some pictures from our visit....
Steve and I met our newest nephew William for the first time :) He was born November 8, 2012.
Since Steve and I and a lot of his siblings weren't there on Christmas Day we decided to have a big meal on New Year's Eve with everyone. We also had family pictures taken! All 10 of the siblings were there which was a first time in 10 years! Here are some pictures from the meal and family pictures:
New Years Eve dinner with everyone: Turkey, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, rolls, potatoes, martinellis, etc.
Family Pictures: Left all of Steve's immediate siblings. They all have the same hair color and look so much alike.
Right: All of Steve's siblings and step-siblings, except Bryson (7) who wasn't in the picture.
As a family we played Bunco and it is one of my favorite games :) When the clock struck midnight we set off fireworks, had a bonfire, and celebrated.
Steve wanted to take me on a scenic drive towards Steven's Pass. We parked and then walked down to this :) a little waterfall and a really good view of everything! It was so cold so we could only last for so long...
After going to the spot we went to the Fish Hatchery. Since it was winter time none of the fish were outside except for a few of these CoHo's. Inside there were 100's of trays and in them were little tiny baby salmon. There were literally a couple thousand baby salmon in each tray. So cool!
We got the chance to go to Steve's half-brother's basketball game. He is 7 and Steve's dad coaches the team. This was his 4th game and they are undefeated. Bryson ended up scoring for the first time this night :)
Saturday morning the scouts in Steve's ward had a Christmas Tree Recycling Project that they do every year. I volunteered to drive this big truck and it was a lot of fun. Lonnie took this picture but my eyes are closed...oh well.
Lonnie, Clayton, Steve, me, and Bryson then went shooting the next day up by their cabin. It was a lot of fun but very muddy.
Left picture: Bryson shooting. Love how he holds the gun and was so focused.
Right: Steve and Clayton shooting clay pigeons.
Saturday night we went to Clayton's basketball game. They did really good and ended up killing this team. Clayton is 15 and is a Sophomore.
We left Clayton's game a little early and went to Steve's moms house for dinner. Diana and Mark spoiled us and made us Roast Beef, Potatoes, and Beans. It was so good and definitely filled me up. We watched the Packer game in which they killed the Vikings and had delicious dessert too (Pound cake, whipped cream, and raspberries).
We were so sad to leave Sunday morning. The drive went really well and there was only snow in Snoqualamie Pass. We are now in our first week of school!
