Kool-Aid/Liquid Stain Remover

So about 2 weeks ago, Steve was eating a freezer pop on our couch and spilled red juice all over our couch cover. I was panicking because I have not heard good things about kool-aid (or kool-aid like stains.) I immediately went to the bathroom and scrubbed it with some soap and cold water because I've heard hot water sets the stain.....didn't work. Then I went to the Internet and looked for some ideas and tried one of them. This is now my "go to" for stain removal involving liquid.

Bring 1 large pot and 1 small pot of water to a boil. Place the stained area over the large pot with the stain facing up (make sure it's flat and not wadded up so the steam can come through the material.) Slowly pour the boiling water over the stained area until the stain isn't apparent. You may need two people (one to hold the shirt over the pot and one to pour the water over the stain)

I was so surprised that the stain came out so easily. My brother did the same thing yesterday and got kool-aid on his nice white shirt, I tried the trick again and it worked. You couldn't even tell he spilled anything! Hope you can use this tip someday.
