Weekend with the Roomies :)

I always feel like my blog entries are a lot like journal entries. I list off what happened each day and so on, but I feel like it's one of the only ways I can express what we did and when we did it. So here's yet another journal entry of what I did this past weekend.

The drive to Washington was beautiful! Love the mountains with the clouds covering them!

This last weekend me and my 3 old roommates (Rebekah, Jenessa, and Cailan) headed to Washington for our old roommate Kailey's wedding! We left Thursday afternoon and arrived in Wenatchee, WA (Eastern WA) later that night! Wenatchee is such a beautiful area, I especially love the orchards!!! We stayed at Jenessa's parents house that night and Jenessa's parents were so nice in letting us invade their house. They fed us well and it was so nice to meet them and get to know them! We then headed over to Seattle the next morning for Kailey and Taylor's wedding. I was fortunate enough to go to the sealing which was such a neat experience. I have never been to another sealing besides my own and it was a little different being in the seats vs. having all the attention on us. It was unfortunate to have it rain all day for their wedding, but Kailey was still as beautiful as ever and it didn't seem to bother her.

All the roommies :) LOVE THIS PICTURE!!

I was only Kailey's roommate for one semester, we became really good friends and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go to her wedding. After pictures and the luncheon we headed to Seattle!! We made it just in time for the closing of Pike's Place Market, had to go to the gum wall, and went shopping around town. We then stayed in a hotel in Bellevue for the night!

Pikes Place Market-they were just closing up so we only got to see a few of the vendors

We headed back to Wenatchee on Saturday for Kailey and Taylor's wedding reception that night and stopped in Leavenworth on the way back (such a cute town). Their colors were dark purple (such a good wedding color-we had it for our wedding too) and the set-up for the reception looked so good. After the reception we headed to Jenessa's friends house and played Bohnanza, my new favorite game :)

On our walk in Wenatchee along the canal (I was taking the picture) I love all the orchards!!

We headed back to Rexburg on Sunday and after a long drive we made it. I had such a fun time with my roommates!! It was good to get away from school for a little bit and spend time with them because I don't get to see them often. The only thing I didn't like was that Steve wasn't with me. I may sound like a bit of a baby but we've only been married for 6 months, I hardly get to see him with work/classes/homework, and he's my husband I want to be with him! It seriously kind of felt like we were engaged again and doing long distance haha :) But after 4 days I got to see him! Overall I had a really good time and I'm happy for Kailey and Taylor! I wish I had more pictures from the trip but my camera on my phone just isn't very good at taking good pictures.
