Vacation to Wisconsin

I'm a little behind on this post but here it is. Over the break between Winter and Spring Semesters Steve and I decided to go to Wisconsin. Steve has never been to my house back home so I thought it would be fun to show him the place where I grew up and also other tourist places around. I haven't been home for 6 months so it was also fun for me to re-visit and see family as well. Some of my favorite things about Wisconsin is how green it is and how it doesn't take long to get away from a city or a busy place (there is always country/fields around.)

We got in on Friday night after a long rocky flight! My family came and picked us up at the airport
and of course we had to stop at Kopp's (one of the best burger and custard places in Wisconsin) on the way home.
Steve at Woodman's he was amazed at how much cheese our grocery stores had.
Saturday had the chance to go down to Chicago and show Steve around. We stopped at Millennium Park, Garrett's Popcorn (Best popcorn ever), Michigan Ave, Portillo's, Lamborghini/Bentley Car Place, and did some shopping. It was so much fun and the weather was great!!

At the Lamborghini/Bentley Car Place (This was Steve's favorite car in the place, too bad it was like a million)

Easter at home was the best. It was nice having a home cooked meal and family around. Jordan and Courtney and the boys are close to my parents so it was great seeing how much Axel has grown and seeing Bentley for the first time was great!

Tuesday we went to Madison and Steve seemed to like it a lot. We stopped at the Capital, walked around State St., went to Memorial Union Terrace, and looked around UW Madison campus a little.

We made a trip to Sheboygan which was also fun. We went to Lake Michigan walked around a little and went to the Kohler Design Center which was really neat. The Kohler Center had everything from toilets, to showers, to hot tubs, and also different rooms with themes of interior design.

Top Left: Steve at the Kohler Design Center (Yes those are toilets haha) Bottom right: At Lake Michigan walking along the shore. It was a lot nicer weather than I thought!

Saturday we got to go to Milwaukee with the family and Jordan and Courtney. We stopped at the zoo which was fun and also went by Lake Michigan.

On our trip Steve and I also got a chance to visit my old teachers from Elementary, Middle, and High School, have a bonfire with the family, go shooting, and relax a lot! Overall our trip was very fun and we enjoyed our break in Wisconsin. The next time we are thinking of going back will probably be at Christmas!
